Agents Of Improv Performing Comedy At UCONN
Posted on 10.01.2010 by Conrad Egusa

Agents of Improv is a performance-based organization at UConn that was formed in 2005 because there were few outlets to learn, practice, and perform improvisational comedy on campus. The organization is open to anyone who wants to try out the performance art. One of the group’s goals is to show students that in addition to UConn excelling in its academics and athletics, UConn also has a strong base in art and performance. Agents of Improv meets on Thursdays from 9PM to 11:30PM in room 304A in the Student Union.

Posted on 09.24.2010 by Conrad Egusa

Unfortunately, many individuals do not know how much time and effort the Undergraduate Student Government spends on creating the best experience for UCONN students. Every year a number of students, without compensation, dedicate themselves to this cause. A critical person in this effort is Yoana Yakova, who is the Chairperson of the Funding Board.

The Delta Chi Fraternity is a Greek fraternity on campus with 42 active members and 14 new associate members. The fraternity has been on campus since 1950. I had the opportunity to speak to Mark Gaudette, who is this year’s President. Unlike many students who rush fraternities in their first year of school, Mark rushed during his sophomore year and rose to serve as President the following year. Mark says that joining the Delta Chi fraternity was one of the best decisions he has made at UCONN.

This article was taken from the New Haven Register at: http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2010/09/14/sports/0091410_dj_hernande... SOUTHINGTON — Randy Edsall noticed it early in D.J. Hernandez’s career at UConn: Hernandez, who played both quarterback and wide receiver in his four years with the Huskies, wanted to know what all the other positions on the field were supposed to be doing on each play, as well. “He was always a student of the game,” Edsall recalled. “He asked so many questions, wanted to know why. He wanted to be a coach, no question about that.”

UCONN Football Receiving No Support
Posted on 09.16.2010 by Conrad Egusa

This article was taken from the Bleacher Report at: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/461136-no-love-for-uconn-football The poor Connecticut Huskies football team. Nobody seems to love them. UConn is 1-1, following a beatdown at the hands of a good Michigan team (30-10) with a super-duper beatdown of an overmatched Texas Southern team (62-3). First, there are the mean voters in the AP Top 25. In the preseason poll, UConn was in the ever popular "Others receiving votes" category, coming in at No. 31. Not too shabby.
